Drive, Boat-cruise and Chimps trekking
National Parks included: Queen Elizabeth NP
Day 1 – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will meet your safari guide and leave Entebbe/Kampala in the morning for your Queen Elizabeth safari. The target for the day is Queen Elizabeth National park. Our first stop on the way is by the equator to get the experience of standing with one foot on either side of the southern- and northern hemisphere. Continue on for lunch in the town of Mbarara and then do the last part of the journey through rolling hills with tea plantations. Arrive at the lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening.
Day 2 – Game-drive in Ishasha and Boat-cruise on Kazinga channel
You will get up early in the morning for the adventurous drive to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. In Ishasha you can see topis, buffaloes and have the highlight of searching for the tree-climbing lions resting in the fig trees. After finishing the game-drive head back to the main part of Queen Elizabeth National Park for the afternoon boat-cruise on Kazinga channel. During this 2 hour boat ride you have the chance of spotting hippos, crocodiles, birds and elephants by the shores of the Kazinga channel. After the boat-cruise your guide takes you back to the lodge.
Day 3 – Chimps trekking in Kalinzu forest and game-drive in Kasenyi
Start the day off with chimps trekking in Kalinzu forest. Here you will get a walk in beautiful jungle and the excitement of seeing chimpanzees. Go back to the lodge after the trek for lunch and a bit of relaxation before heading to the Kasenyi part of Queen Elizabeth for an afternoon game-drive. Soak up the last of this great nature experience before heading back to the lodge.
Day 4 – Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe
Have a relaxed breakfast enjoying the views from the lodge before setting off for the drive to Kampala/Entebbe. Along the way you will make a stop for lunch in Masaka or Mbarara depending on the time. You have now reached the end of your Queen Elizabeth safari and your guide drops you off in Kampala/Entebbe.
Tour Reviews
Queen Elizabeth National Park is b far the best destination. I find the park’s richness in wildlife quite unequaled, coupled with the multiple lakes in this South Western part of Uganda. Above all, I loved the friendliness and awareness of the guides. Just topnotch.
